About the role
As a Senior PowerShell Developer, you will make an impact by shaping the automation infrastructure that keeps our IT operations running efficiently and at scale. You will own the development and optimization of scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and ServiceNow workflows that directly impact the reliability of systems used across the organization. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who thrives on solving complex automation challenges and wants to see their work make a measurable difference. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team, working closely with developers, cloud engineers, and service management professionals.
In this role, you will
• Develop, test, and maintain PowerShell/Python scripts to automate endpoint tasks and improve operational efficiency in conjunction with ServiceNow solutions
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to facilitate seamless integration and deployment of applications within ServiceNow and other environments
• Utilize orchestration tools to automate workflows and manage complex processes within the ServiceNow platform
• Create and deploy serverless functions to optimize application performance and scalability, leveraging cloud provider capabilities
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate PowerShell solutions with ServiceNow, using Git for version control and collaboration
• Write and optimize SQL queries for effective data management and reporting within ServiceNow and related databases
• Monitor and troubleshoot automation scripts and ServiceNow workflows to ensure reliability, accuracy, and efficiency
• Document processes, scripts, and workflows for knowledge sharing and future reference
Work model

What you need to have to be considered
• 5+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in an enterprise environment
• 5+ years of experience with GitHub or similar version control platforms
• 5+ years of experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including workflow automation, orchestration, and platform integration
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for scripting and data management
• Experience with serverless functions and cloud-based automation tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
These will help you stand out
• Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms
• ServiceNow certifications or advanced platform knowledge
• Experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical workstreams
• Background in IT operations or managed services environments

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until May 6, 2026
The annual salary for this position is between $91,000 - $105,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
