About The Role

As a Consulting Principal for Supply Chain Execution, you will make an impact by leading high-impact supply chain execution engagements specifically for Order Management for enterprise clients. You will be a valued member of the Cognizant Consulting team and work collaboratively with practice leaders, client executives, and cross-functional delivery teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and delivery of retail order management capabilities across omnichannel ecosystems.
  • This role focuses on the end‑to‑end customer order lifecycle—from order capture and orchestration through fulfillment, returns, and post‑order services—ensuring a seamless, scalable, and profitable customer experience.
  • Originate and lead proposals, shape commercial terms, and close strategic deals; build and expand client relationships at C-suite and VP levels.
  • Architect Order Management solutions using tools from Manhattan, Sterling Commerce, Kibo etc.
  • Mentor senior consultants, recruit top talent, define service offerings, and develop reusable accelerators and IP.
  • Publish points of view, lead webinars, and represent Cognizant with analysts and at industry events.

Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring regular travel (up to 50%) and presence in client or Cognizant offices on the US East Coast or Central Time Zones. What you need to have to be considered

  • 10+ years of experience in Retail Order Management systems implementation.
  • Implementation experience with large scale OMS solutions such as IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan OMS, Kibo etc.
  • Proven track record leading end-to-end planning transformations for large enterprises.
  • Prior experience of facilitating business process, requirements and solutioning workshops in large multi-vendor environments
  • Prior experience in working in Agile software development as a Product Manager /Product Owner creating Epics/User Stories.
  • Prior experience in generation of process flow diagrams/user journeys using use case visualization tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart etc.
  • Prior experience working with business teams to identify functional requirements and prioritize prospective MVPs
  • Familiarity with other systems within the app landscape such as eCommerce, Payment systems, WMS, POS, ERP, etc. is preferable
  • Commercial acumen: built business cases and closed multi-million-dollar engagements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Experience managing and mentoring senior consultants and cross-functional teams.

These will help you stand out

  • Prior experience at a Tier 1 management consulting firm or leading systems integrator.
  • Experience in Retail or Consumer Goods industry transformation or operational role.
  • Deep Retail domain experience with Order management complexity, order orchestration.
  • Advanced degree in supply chain, operations research, data science, or MBA.
  • Project management certification or equivalent delivery experience.

Work Authorization:

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $122,400 - $194,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
