About the role
As a Data Quality Architect, you will make an impact by defining and embedding enterprise-grade data quality capabilities across modern data platforms. You will be a valued member of our Technology Consulting team, working closely with client stakeholders, data engineering teams, and solution architects to ensure data quality is measurable, actionable, and integrated into day-to-day data operations and transformation programmes.
This role combines deep technical architecture expertise with strong consulting and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
In this role, you will:
- Lead client advisory on data quality strategy, architecture, and solution design across cloud and hybrid data platforms
- Define and own scalable data quality architectures, including preventive and detective quality controls
- Translate business objectives, regulatory drivers, and operational risks into pragmatic data quality frameworks and roadmaps
- Partner with data engineering, migration, and application teams to embed data quality into pipelines, platforms, and CI/CD processes
- Communicate data quality insights, trends, and remediation options to both technical and executive audiences
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office. What you must have to be considered
- Significant experience in data quality, data architecture, or analytics roles within complex data environments
- Hands-on experience designing data quality architectures and frameworks across modern data platforms
- Experience working with AWS-based data services, including data cataloguing and data quality tooling
- Proven ability to advise clients, facilitate workshops, and drive prioritisation of data quality issues and remediation
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data quality concepts into business-relevant insights
- These will help you succeed
- Experience supporting data migration or platform modernisation programmes
- Exposure to embedding data quality controls into ETL pipelines and CI/CD workflows
- Familiarity with data quality dimensions, thresholds, and business-aligned metrics
- Consulting or client-facing delivery experience across multiple stakeholder groups
- Experience producing executive-ready reports, assessments, or data quality dashboards
