About the role

As a Data Architect, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, cloud‑based data platforms that enable reliable data processing, orchestration, and analytics. You will be a valued member of the Data Engineering team and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions using modern AWS and big‑data technologies.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, implement, and optimize data orchestration workflows using MWAA (Apache Airflow)
  • Develop and maintain Python‑based components for data transformation, automation, and integration
  • Build and manage ETL pipelines using AWS Glue to enable efficient and reliable data movement
  • Leverage Apache Spark to process large‑scale datasets and support analytical and business‑critical workloads
  • Define cloud‑based architecture solutions with a strong focus on scalability, performance, security, and reliability
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs
  • Review code and enforce best practices across data engineering and software development
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data pipelines, workflows, and cloud infrastructure
  • Assess existing platforms and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for architectures, workflows, and processes
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation

Work model

We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position.
Working arrangements may change depending on project and business needs, and we will always be clear about role expectations.

What you must have to be considered

  • 10 to 14 years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or related technical roles
  • Strong hands‑on experience with MWAA (Apache Airflow) for workflow orchestration
  • Advanced Python programming skills for data processing and automation
  • Proven experience using AWS Glue to build and manage ETL pipelines
  • Strong expertise in Apache Spark for big‑data processing and analytics
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices on AWS
  • Demonstrated ability to design scalable, production‑grade data solutions
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification
  • Apache Spark Developer certification
  • Experience working with enterprise‑scale data platforms
  • Exposure to Agile or hybrid delivery models
  • Passion for mentoring, innovation, and continuous learning
