About the role
As a .NET Developer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and supporting scalable digital solutions that enable critical healthcare workflows and secure data management. You will be a valued member of the technology delivery team and work collaboratively with product owners, architects, data teams, and healthcare stakeholders to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.

In this role, you will:

Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications, including APIs, web services, and Azure Function Apps, supporting healthcare platforms
Build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to ensure performance, accuracy, and scalability
Support and enhance healthcare applications, including Facets modules (Member, Claims, Providers, Accumulation, and Open Access services)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Ensure solutions comply with healthcare regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve application and database-related issues across environments
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployments using Azure DevOps
Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and system processes
Build and maintain agentic AI workflows, including multi-step reasoning, tool usage, and autonomous task execution
Integrate and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to enable AI agents to interact with external tools, APIs, and data sources
Develop, test, and optimize prompts, pipelines, and agent orchestration logic

Work model

What you need to have to be considered

Strong experience developing applications using .NET technologies
Advanced proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and data modeling
Hands-on experience supporting healthcare applications and workflows
Experience working with Facets (Member, Claims, Providers, Accumulation, and Open Access services)
Understanding of healthcare standards and regulations such as HIPAA, HL7, or FHIR
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployments using Azure DevOps
Ability to work effectively in Agile delivery environments
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to support production systems

These will help you stand out

Experience designing or deploying Generative AI or Agentic AI–powered solutions
Exposure to Azure cloud services and a strong interest in Azure upskilling
Experience building intelligent workflows that integrate AI agents with enterprise systems
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with global or cross-functional teams

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $110K - $125K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
