Job Summary
Cognizant is seeking a Certified Guidewire Claim Center Developer to design, develop, and support Claim Center applications within the Property & Casualty insurance domain. The role requires strong hands-on development skills, Guidewire certification, and experience working in large enterprise or banking environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance Guidewire Claim Center applications
- Customize Claim Center using Gosu, PCF, and Guidewire APIs
- Work on integrations with internal and external systems (REST/SOAP, messaging)
- Configure Claim Center workflows, rules, and data models
- Perform unit testing, defect fixing, and production support
- Participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams
- Support ClaimCenter upgrades and Guidewire cloud/on‑prem implementations
- Document technical designs and development standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Guidewire ClaimCenter Certification (Associate or Specialist)
- Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter development
- Proficient in Gosu programming language
- Experience with PCF configuration, rules, and workflows
- Working knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter/BillingCenter (preferred)
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance claims processes
- Experience with REST/SOAP web services
- Familiarity with SQL, Oracle, or DB2 databases
- Experience in Agile development environments
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working in a banking or large financial institution
- Guidewire Cloud (GWCP) exposure
- Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines)
- Experience with CI/CD and automated testing
- Prior experience supporting production systems
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Relevant Guidewire certifications required

- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
