Business Systems Analyst – Instant Payments

About the role

As a Business Systems Analyst – Instant Payments, you will make an impact by defining and elaborating user stories for a brand new Generic Instant Payment Execution Engine. You will be a valued member of the Instant Payments development team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams across the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and elaborate user stories based on requirements provided by business stakeholders and product owners for instant payment processing systems
  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and SCT Instant payment industry requirements
  • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into proper system requirement specifications for the new Generic Instant Payment Execution Engine
  • Work in an Agile environment utilizing Value Streams concepts to ensure efficient delivery of instant payment solutions
  • Translate inputs from High Level Functional and Technical requirements into detailed specifications, working with abstract concepts to create concrete implementation plans

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Extensive experience and understanding of the processing of Instant Payments (SCT Instant in Europe and/or any other instant payment scheme globally)
  • Proven track record in the definition and elaboration of user stories based on requirements from business stakeholders
  • Experience analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and translating them into proper system requirement specifications
  • Ability to work in an Agile way of work, with strong understanding of Value Streams concepts
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work with abstract concepts and translate High Level Functional and Technical requirements into detailed specifications

These will help you stand out:

  • Experience creating new stack/product from scratch, particularly in payment systems
  • Background in developing Generic Instant Payment Execution Engines or similar payment processing platforms
  • Knowledge of European payment schemes and regulations beyond SCT Instant
  • Experience with payment industry standards and compliance requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in international environments
