Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior Android Dev. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years of experience developing and building high‑performing, scalable enterprise applications.

Location: Toronto, ON, CANADA (Hybrid)

Roles& Responsibilities:
· Work closely with onsite client leads and solution architects
· Coordinate with offshore teams and support day-to-day development activities
· Perform requirement analysis, effort estimation, development, and code reviews
· Provide deployment, testing, and defect triage support
· Ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable, and maintainable Android applications
Required Qualifications:
· 8+ years of hands-on experience in Android application development
· Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
· Proficiency in Kotlin and Android Native Development
· Extensive experience with:
· Android SDK and modern Android development tools
· Jetpack Compose
· RESTful APIs and Microservices integration
· CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
· Version control systems (Bitbucket)
· Jira for project tracking and delivery management
· Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles
· Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 69,750– $ 110,500 CAD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
