About the role
As a Technical Manager – QNXT Consulting, you will make an impact by providing hands‑on technical leadership and operational oversight for QNXT consulting engagements. You will lead technical delivery, ensure system stability, and guide teams in resolving complex claims, configuration, and integration challenges while partnering closely with client IT and operations stakeholders.
This role is aligned to Cognizant’s Manager‑level expectations, with a strong emphasis on technical leadership, operational excellence, and solution governance within healthcare payer environments.
This is a remote position, open to qualified applicants.
In this role, you will:
- Lead technical delivery and operational support for QNXT consulting engagements
- Provide technical oversight across claims adjudication, benefits configuration, workflow (WFE), batch processing, and system integrations
- Own root‑cause analysis and resolution of complex production and system issues
- Govern technical change, release, and environment management activities
- Ensure solution quality, stability, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Partner with client IT and operations teams to align system design with business needs
- Manage technical risks, dependencies, and escalations across engagements
- Mentor and guide technical consultants and leads on QNXT architecture and best practices
- Drive continuous improvement across technical delivery and operational processes
Work model

What you need to have to be considered
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare payer systems or consulting, with deep QNXT technical expertise
- Strong hands‑on experience with claims processing, configuration, batch jobs, and database concepts
- Proven experience leading technical teams in a consulting or delivery environment
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and supportable technical solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
These will help you stand out
- Experience supporting QNXT production environments
- Strong SQL, data analysis, and advanced troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or ACA Exchange platforms
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with client IT leadership
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $113K-$132K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
