Title: Automotive Fuel Economy Engineer – Vehicle Homologation & Compliance
Location: Allen Park, MI
Engineering positions with lead responsibility for coordinating fuel economy certification activities.
Responsibilities including:
• Develop and maintain project work plans including status updates.
• Coordinate with activities regarding prototype vehicle and part requirements and availability.
• Support communication and confirmation of vehicle instrumentation requirements.
• Coordinate with proving ground to execute vehicle mileage break-in.
• Perform fuel economy testing:
o Test request generation
o Data analysis
o Coordinating vehicle updates, reflashes and/or troubleshooting as required.
o Cross-functional meeting support as required
o Coordinate catalyst bench aging
• Compile and submit test and supporting documentation to EPA as needed or required.
• Support any EPA confirmatory testing.
Requirements
BS in Engineering or related field
Fuel Economy homologation and compliance experience.
