About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Lead with 9+ years of experience in Vue.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript. This role is critical in designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and secure front-end solutions that align with business goals. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with leadership skills to drive innovation, mentor teams, and ensure delivery excellence.
In this role, you will:
· Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient front-end applications using Vue.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring solutions meet project objectives.
· Provide architectural guidance and enforce coding standards and best practices across development teams.
· Oversee seamless integration of front-end applications with back-end systems and APIs.
· Optimize application performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and enhance user experience.
· Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high-quality deliverables.
· Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architectural diagrams and design specifications.
· Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve processes.
· Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection regulations.
· Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
· Drive automation and process improvements in software development workflows.

What you need to have to be considered:
· 9+ years of professional experience in front-end development and architecture.
· Strong expertise in Vue.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
· Proven track record of designing enterprise-scale applications.
· Hands-on experience with microservices, API design, and cloud-native architectures.
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

· Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
· Certified Vue.js Developer.
· JavaScript Specialist Certification.
· TypeScript Fundamentals Certification.

Salary and compensation:
The annual salary for this position will be between $70,000 to $117,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
