Job Summary
The Lead Quality Engineer role involves ensuring the highest quality standards in software development and delivery. The candidate will work on automation frameworks API testing and BDD methodologies using tools like Selenium Cucumber and Java. This hybrid role requires expertise in automation testing and a strong understanding of financial and accounting domains.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium and Java to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies using Cucumber to enhance collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough API testing to ensure seamless integration and functionality across systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues during the software development lifecycle.
- Provide detailed test plans and strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.
- Monitor and analyze test results to identify trends patterns and areas for improvement in the testing process.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and company standards for software quality assurance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing methodologies and tools.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in automation testing techniques and tools.
- Work closely with developers to understand system architecture and design effective test cases.
- Oversee defect tracking and resolution processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable test scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial standards when testing applications in the finance and accounting domain.
Qualifications
- Possess strong expertise in Selenium Java and Cucumber for automation testing.
- Demonstrate proficiency in API testing and BDD methodologies.
- Have a solid understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
- Experience in the finance and accounting domain is highly desirable.
- Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Showcase strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Display a proactive approach to learning and adopting new testing tools and techniques.
- Hold a minimum of 8 years of experience in quality engineering with a maximum of 12 years preferred.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a hybrid model and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
- Possess a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software that aligns with business objectives.
- Exhibit attention to detail and a focus on achieving measurable outcomes in testing processes.
- Have a proven track record of driving quality improvements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Certifications Required
ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level Certified Selenium Professional
