About the Role
As a Sr Consulting Manager - M&A - Technology Program Management (Applications Integration), you will make an impact by leading and orchestrating technology initiatives during M&A activities. You will be a valued member of the team and work collaboratively with internal IT teams, external advisors, acquired company stakeholders, and clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end IT workstreams during M&A activities, including discovery, due diligence support, Day 1 readiness, and post-merger integration.

  • Coordinate closely with internal IT teams, external advisors, and acquired company stakeholders.
  • Own integration activities across enterprise and business applications, including ERP, CRM, custom applications, data platforms, and middleware.
  • Drive application rationalization, dependency mapping, risk identification, and integration sequencing.

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring presence in a client or Cognizant office in one of the following locations: Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, or Queretaro, 3 days a week. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.

What you must have to be considered

  • 12+ years of IT Project Management experience, with direct exposure to M&A, carve outs, or large-scale integrations.
  • Strong background managing application-centric IT initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Deep understanding of application landscapes and integration patterns, SDLC, Agile and hybrid delivery models, and IT governance and risk management in M&A contexts.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure fundamentals (cloud, networks, identity, security) and IT service management and transition to BAU.

These will help you succeed

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to build rapport and trust with acquired organizations.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Comfortable operating in high-pressure, ambiguous M&A environments.

We're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don't hesitate to apply, even if you only meet the minimum requirements listed.
