Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in the Insurance domain to support data-driven initiatives across complex, enterprise-scale environments. In this role, you will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to analyze, curate, and deliver high-quality data solutions that enable informed decision-making.

You will contribute to data integration, data warehousing, and analytics initiatives, leveraging modern cloud platforms and best practices in data management.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze, validate, and interpret complex datasets to support business and technology decisions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather and understand end-to-end data requirements, from ingestion through curation.
  • Perform hands-on data profiling and write SQL queries to analyze and validate data.
  • Support master data management, data integration, and data warehousing or data lake initiatives.
  • Provide inputs and recommendations to data modelers based on business and analytical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality data documentation artifacts within project timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to analytics solutions in large-scale, data-centric environments, including Big Data platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of the Insurance domain, including underwriting concepts.
  • Experience working with Global IQX and integrating with third-party platforms such as Salesforce.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis, validation, and issue resolution.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional data models, and analytics-ready data structures.
  • Experience delivering data documentation in organizations of similar size and complexity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on large-scale data programs in regulated industries.
  • Exposure to Big Data environments supporting advanced analytics use cases.
  • Prior experience with data governance or data quality initiatives.

Salary and Other Compensation (Canada – Ontario)

Applications will be accepted until May 31st, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $[95,000] – $[115,000], depending on experience, skills, and other qualifications.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
