About the role

As an Appian Technology Architect, you will make an impact by designing and delivering enterprise-grade Appian solutions that drive process automation, intelligent decision-making, and transformation of provider workflows. You will be a valued member of the EPS IPM team and work collaboratively with product owners, business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and delivery teams.

In this role, you will:

- Design and architect enterprise-scale Appian solutions leveraging BPM, RPA, and AI capabilities to transform provider workflows

- Lead end-to-end Appian RPA implementations including process selection, orchestration, exception handling, and governance

- Translate complex healthcare provider requirements into scalable Appian solutions through strong stakeholder collaboration

- Define and enforce architecture standards including integration patterns, data flows, and performance benchmarks

- Ensure performance, scalability, security, and compliance through robust NFR design, monitoring, and optimization

What you need to have to be considered

• Extensive experience in Appian Architecture including BPM, Records, SAIL, and integrations

• Strong hands-on experience with Appian RPA implementations and optimization

• Experience implementing Appian AI / intelligent decisioning solutions in enterprise environments

• Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns including REST APIs and event-driven architectures

• Strong experience in healthcare provider domain and regulated environments

These will help you stand out

• Experience defining and governing non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, resilience)

• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy frameworks in healthcare

• Experience leading architecture reviews and enforcing SDLC governance standards

• Familiarity with performance tuning, monitoring tools, and capacity planning

• Experience in Agile and scaled delivery models

Work model: client is in Louisville, KY

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $83,600 – 129,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
