Cognizant is looking for an Azure Engineer. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing a wide range of Azure cloud services across IaaS PaaS and SaaS. It includes deploying and maintaining Azure VMs networking components Landing Zones security services firewalls VPN gateways storage and domain controllers. The position oversees backup policies high availability solutions Azure policy governance and performance optimization.

In this role, you will:

• Implement, configure, and maintain various Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS Cloud Services.
• Deploy and maintain Azure IaaS Virtual Machines and Azure Application and Networking Services to support growth into the cloud.
• Optimize Azure buildouts for cost/performance (VM optimization, reserved instances, etc.)
• Possess in-depth knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language like PowerShell, Python, .Net
• Possess knowledge of IaC and CI/CD tooling to deploy Azure resources.
• Deploy and Maintain Azure Landing Zone and Azure IaaS components (Listeners, Routing rules, Http settings, Back end pools, Health probes)
• Deploy and Maintain VPN gateways, Azure Firewalls, Log Analytics, Azure Storage, VMs, Bastion Host, Load Balancers.
• Create, verify and Manage Backup Policy
• Build HA solutions based on business necessity considering regional rules and regulations.
• Create and Manage Azure policy assignments
• Deploy and Maintain Azure domain controllers
• Own the business relationship with Microsoft account team to ensure we are taking advantage of all of Microsoft's training, sales support and other offerings.
• Recommend, develop, plan, manage, implement, and fully document IT projects
• Identify improvements to IT documentation, network maps, processes/procedures, and tickets and research products and new technologies to increase efficiency of business and operations
• Manage and respond to escalated client inquiries
• Be the escalation point for other IT Systems Engineers and Service Desk Engineers
• Keep all tickets and projects updated and track time in a detailed format

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills):

  • 7–9 years of hands-on experience in Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform and Azure cloud platform
  • Experience with Python and PowerShell scripting knowledge

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Compensation: we are offering an annual salary between $100,000-$120,000
