Job summary
Serve as a senior business analyst driving complex enterprise initiatives for a global organization translating strategic objectives into actionable requirements and measurable outcomes. Collaborate across business and technology teams within a hybrid work model to optimize processes strengthen planning capabilities and deliver data informed decisions that create sustainable value for clients and society.
Responsibilities
- Lead detailed discovery sessions with business partners to elicit clear functional and nonfunctional requirements that directly support strategic planning objectives and measurable business outcomes.
- Analyze current state processes across multiple business units to identify gaps inefficiencies and risks then propose optimized future state models that enhance predictability and operational resilience.
- Develop comprehensive business requirement documents user stories and use cases that translate complex planning needs into precise testable specifications for technology and operations teams.
- Collaborate closely with product owners architects and engineering teams during solution design to ensure alignment with business priorities regulatory obligations and long term scalability goals.
- Create data driven business cases and cost benefit analyses that quantify expected value clarify tradeoffs and guide executive decision making for new initiatives and major enhancements.
- Define and maintain robust requirement traceability from initial discovery through testing and deployment ensuring that every delivered feature ties back to approved business objectives.
- Partner with planning and finance stakeholders to refine forecasting budgeting and portfolio planning processes using analytical insights and scenario modeling to improve allocation of resources.
- Prepare clear process maps workflow diagrams and operating models that help stakeholders understand impacts of proposed changes and support smooth adoption in a hybrid work environment.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing activities by defining test conditions reviewing test results and validating that implemented solutions meet agreed success criteria.
- Facilitate structured workshops reviews and walkthroughs with cross functional teams to resolve open issues refine requirements and gain alignment on scope and delivery milestones.
- Monitor post implementation performance using defined metrics and key performance indicators and recommend enhancements that continuously improve service quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Mentor junior analysts by sharing analytical methods documentation standards and facilitation techniques thereby strengthening the overall capability of the analysis practice.
- Communicate complex findings and recommendations in concise business language tailored to senior stakeholders enabling timely and informed decisions that align with organizational purpose.
Qualifications
- Showcase extensive experience across the full business analysis lifecycle including discovery requirements engineering solution assessment and benefits realization in complex enterprise environments.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in business planning forecasting and portfolio prioritization using structured frameworks and data analysis to support efficient allocation of financial and operational resources.
- Apply advanced proficiency with industry standard analysis tools and documentation practices to create clear reusable assets that support technology teams and process owners.
- Exhibit proven ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model by using collaborative platforms structured communication practices and disciplined documentation to keep distributed teams aligned.
- Utilize strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills to balance competing priorities manage expectations and establish shared understanding of scope and value.
- Employ solid understanding of project and product delivery methods including iterative and incremental approaches to align requirement breakdown and backlog refinement with delivery cadence.
- Integrate knowledge of data analysis reporting concepts and key business metrics to ensure requirements are measurable and support objective evaluation of solution performance.
- Display commitment to continuous learning through relevant trainings and certifications in business analysis and planning disciplines ensuring that methods and tools reflect current industry practices.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $120-170kdepending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
