About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our Team. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and reliability of our software-defined appliances through advanced test automation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing methodologies. You will lead test automation initiatives using C# and Python, working directly with real hardware and HIL systems to validate embedded software and firmware.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using C# and Python for Level 2 testing activities.

  • Collaborate with the SQA leader to plan and coordinate test activities for each software release.

  • Perform in-depth debugging and troubleshooting of software and firmware issues identified during testing.

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes.

  • Participate in requirements gathering to ensure testability is incorporated early in the development lifecycle.

  • Engage with Quality teams and Factory operations through on-site activities.

  • Conduct manual and exploratory testing to identify edge cases and quality risks.

To make this happen you need to have

  • Minimum 9 years of experience in Software Testing and Automation Frameworks.

  • Advanced proficiency in C# for test automation including object-oriented design and .NET framework utilisation.

  • Strong expertise in Python for test scripting, data analysis, and automation tasks (pytest, unittest).

  • Comprehensive knowledge of embedded connectivity technologies, IoT integration, and device interoperability.

  • Extensive experience conducting on-site activities at manufacturing facilities and quality labs.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering, or comparable experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective cross-functional collaborator.
