About the role
As a Senior QA Automation Lead with SAP Data Validation (Gold Client, Alteryx), you will make an impact by defining and driving quality engineering strategy and automation for complex industrial manufacturing and production control solutions. You will be a valued member of the quality engineering team and work collaboratively with product owners, architects, developers, and manufacturing stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and high-performing enterprise applications.
In this role, you will:
· Define and implement end-to-end quality engineering strategies to improve test coverage, reliability, and performance across manufacturing and control systems
· Design and build scalable automated test frameworks using JavaScript and Playwright, integrated with Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous delivery
· Establish quality gates and CI/CD controls to ensure only production-ready builds progress across environments
· Lead test planning, execution, and defect management for functional, regression, and integration testing across complex workflows
· Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align quality objectives with business needs, safety requirements, and production continuity
Work model

What you need to have to be considered
· Strong experience in quality engineering and test automation using JavaScript and Playwright
· Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and test integration
· Working knowledge of SAP (table structures, master vs transactional data, and environment flows such as QA/UAT)
· Experience with test management and automation tools such as qTest, Jira, Tosca, and NeoLoad (setup, administration, and integration)
· Experience in data validation and transformation tools (e.g., Alteryx, data scrambling tools like Gold Client)
· Understanding of access provisioning and ITSM processes (AD groups, SAP/tool access, SLA-driven incident management)
· Strong analytical skills to interpret defect trends, production incidents, and test outcomes to improve quality
These will help you stand out
· Experience within industrial manufacturing or production planning domains
· Familiarity with GitHub Copilot for accelerating automation development and improving code quality
· Exposure to Power BI dashboards, reporting, and data validation troubleshooting
· Experience performing non-functional testing (performance, reliability, usability)
· Proven ability to mentor and guide QA teams on automation best practices and modern engineering tools
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 to $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
