About the role
As a Senior AI / Machine Learning Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering cutting-edge generative AI–driven applications and enterprise-grade ML solutions. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to bring AI-powered solutions to life.
In this role, you will:
Design and develop AI-powered web applications using technologies such as.NET, React, and Python
Build agentic AI solutions to automate software development lifecycle stages including requirement analysis, coding, testing, and deployment
Develop and optimize prompt engineering strategies and leverage orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex
Train, fine-tune, and deploy large language models (LLMs) and generative AI models for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
Architect and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines and integrate AI APIs into enterprise systems
Develop ML models integrated with ASP.NET applications, including building C# APIs and REST/gRPC endpoints for inference
Manage and preprocess structured and unstructured datasets to improve model quality and reduce bias
Monitor and maintain AI solutions in production using LLMOps practices, ensuring compliance with data privacy and ethical standards

What you need to have to be considered
3+ years of machine learning engineering experience with hands-on model development and deployment
Strong programming skills in Python and ASP.NET/C#
Experience working with Azure cloud platform (2+ years)
Experience deploying and maintaining production-grade ML systems
Experience building APIs and integrating ML models into enterprise applications
These will help you stand out
Experience in the financial services or fintech domain
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field
Experience working in financial services organizations (3+ years)
Deep expertise in Azure ecosystem and AI services
Relevant Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305, or similar)

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
