About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering resilient, high-performance microservices that power critical healthcare payer platforms. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to build secure, scalable solutions that enhance member outcomes and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop robust microservices using Core Java and Spring Boot to support high-volume, transaction-heavy payer systems
- Build and optimize Kafka-based event-driven architectures for real-time processing of claims, eligibility, and policy data
- Develop efficient SQL queries and database models to manage complex healthcare data with accuracy and performance
- Implement secure, reusable APIs and services for seamless integration across enterprise systems
- Troubleshoot and optimize system performance through JVM tuning, Kafka configuration, and database optimization

What you need to have to be considered
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices development for large-scale systems
- Strong expertise in Kafka, including event design, consumer groups, and fault-tolerant message processing
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in designing schemas and optimizing complex queries
- Proven ability to build secure, scalable APIs and microservices in distributed environments
- Understanding of healthcare payer operations (claims, eligibility, benefits, provider data)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing practices
These will help you stand out
- Experience tuning JVM performance and optimizing Kafka-based event streaming systems
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern microservices design patterns
- Strong knowledge of observability practices (logs, metrics, tracing) for production systems
- Experience collaborating in agile, cross-functional teams within hybrid environments
- Ability to contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and long-term platform improvements
