About the Role
As a Senior Manager, Executive Communications & Social within the Software Engineering Group (SEG), you will build SEG's executive visibility and client proof-point library. You will own the social media and industry publication content programme for 15–20 senior SEG leaders, develop the case study and proof-point narrative pipeline that powers sales conversations and campaigns, and prepare executives for external events, roundtables, and panel appearances.
This is a specialist writing and communications role — not a general content marketing position. The ideal candidate writes convincingly in multiple executive voices, brings proven experience ghostwriting LinkedIn content for senior business leaders, and has a sharp editorial instinct for what engages a C-suite audience. The role reports to the SEG Marketing lead and works closely with the Portfolio & Content AD, with a dotted-line relationship to the Director, Service Line Marketing Leader, SEG to ensure all output is on-message and accurately reflects SEG's positioning.
In this role, you will:
- Own the social media and industry publication content programme for 15–20 senior SEG leaders — ghostwriting posts, articles, and commentary that reflect each leader's authentic voice while maintaining SEG's brand positioning.
- Build and maintain a ready-to-deploy amplification kit — including pre-written posts, repurposed content, and engagement prompts — that makes it easy for leaders to amplify SEG content consistently.
- Develop a content calendar for executive social aligned to campaign moments, events, product launches, and key industry conversations, tracking performance and iterating based on C-suite audience engagement.
- Develop client case studies and proof-of-concept narratives following a problem → approach → outcomes structure, for use in campaigns, sales conversations, and analyst briefings.
- Build a reusable proof point library — short, sharp client outcome statements organized by vertical, offering, and buyer persona — for use across marketing and sales collateral.
- Work closely with the GTM AD to identify the case studies and proof points most needed by the sales team, and prioritize the production pipeline accordingly.
- Support speaker preparation for events, roundtables, and external panels — developing talking points, anticipating audience questions, and supporting rehearsal sessions for senior SEG leaders.
- Produce short-form content assets including video scripts, demo narratives, event summaries, and client-facing proof points that do not require lengthy approval cycles.
- Collaborate closely with the Director, Service Line Marketing Leader, SEG and the Portfolio & Content AD to ensure all content produced by this role is on-message and accurately reflects SEG's positioning.
- Support external writers and Cognizant's central content team with SEG-specific context and briefing material as required.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- 8–12 years of executive communications, corporate communications, or B2B content marketing experience within IT services, consulting, or technology.
- MBA (Marketing/Communications) or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Outstanding writing ability in English — must write convincingly in multiple executive voices; a published portfolio of executive social or corporate communications content is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience ghostwriting LinkedIn content for senior business leaders — this is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
- Experience producing B2B case studies and proof point narratives for technology or professional services.
- Ability to build and manage relationships with senior executives — confident, organized, discreet, and capable of managing multiple leader relationships simultaneously.
- Strong editorial instinct — a clear sense of what engages a CIO or CFO-level reader on LinkedIn and in sales materials.
These Will Help You Succeed
- Experience preparing executives for conference appearances, media interviews, or analyst engagements.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn's content algorithm and organic B2B performance optimization.
- Background in AI, Cloud, Data Engineering, or ERP services marketing.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and matrixed environment.
- Executive Visibility: Consistent, high-quality social content that builds the personal brand and thought leadership of senior SEG leaders across LinkedIn and industry publications.
- Proof Point Impact: A well-maintained, sales-ready library of client case studies and outcome statements actively used across campaigns and sales conversations.
- Content Quality: On-message, editorially sharp content that resonates with C-suite audiences and reflects SEG's positioning accurately.
- Event Readiness: Well-prepared executives who deliver confident, compelling narratives at external events, roundtables, and panel appearances.
- Sales Enablement Support: Timely delivery of proof points and case studies that directly address the needs of the sales community.
