Job summary

This hybrid role is for an experienced Architect specializing in SAP ABAP and SAP BTP/CAPM solutions with a focus on workflow automation and scalable cloud enabled architectures that support critical enterprise processes. The Architect will design govern and optimize integrated SAP landscapes to deliver reliable business outcomes while mentoring teams and ensuring alignment to enterprise standards.


Responsibilities

  • Design robust SAP ABAP and SAP BTP architectures that align with enterprise standards and support scalable secure and resilient business processes across multiple business units.
  • Develop detailed technical designs for SAP ABAP workflow solutions that streamline approvals notifications and exception handling to improve operational efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Configure and optimize SAP BTP administration settings including subaccounts entitlements destinations and security artifacts to ensure stable performant and compliant environments.
  • Create high quality SAP ABAP programming components focusing on reusable services optimized data access and clear modular structures that enhance maintainability and reduce defects.
  • Coordinate hybrid work model collaboration by planning onsite and remote activities ensuring effective communication documentation and knowledge sharing among distributed teams.
  • Review and refine existing SAP ABAP and SAP BTP implementations identifying performance bottlenecks architecture gaps and security risks and proposing targeted improvements that deliver measurable value.
  • Guide integration of SAP BTP services with on premise and cloud systems by defining clear interfaces data contracts and error handling patterns to support reliable end to end business flows.
  • Implement monitoring and observability practices across SAP BTP and ABAP landscapes using logs metrics and alerts to detect issues proactively and support faster incident resolution.
  • Collaborate with functional experts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technical designs that prioritize usability performance and long term sustainability.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for workflows programs configurations and operational procedures ensuring that future enhancements and support activities are efficient and consistent.
  • Conduct technical reviews and quality checks for ABAP code workflow logic and BTP configurations ensuring adherence to coding guidelines security best practices and architectural principles.
  • Support day time operations by troubleshooting complex issues in SAP ABAP and SAP BTP environments performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new SAP BTP capabilities ABAP enhancements and tooling options and recommending adoption paths that align with organizational strategy and societal impact.


Qualifications

  • Exhibit strong expertise in SAP ABAP workflow design including event handling agent determination and custom task development to support complex business approval processes.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in SAP BTP administration including user and role management transport handling connectivity setup and environment optimization for stable operations.
  • Apply solid SAP ABAP programming fundamentals covering modularization techniques performance tuning data dictionary design and robust error handling to deliver reliable solutions.
  • Utilize experience with hybrid work models to operate effectively in onsite and remote collaboration settings while maintaining productivity transparency and inclusive communication.
  • Offer practical exposure to SAP BTP service integration including connectivity to on premise systems cloud services and external APIs with focus on security and data consistency.
  • Show strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with ability to assess complex issues in SAP landscapes and propose pragmatic high impact solutions.
  • Display effective communication and stakeholder management skills enabling clear explanation of technical concepts to diverse audiences and alignment on solution decisions.


Certifications Required

SAP Certified Development Specialist ABAP for SAP HANA or SAP Certified Development Associate ABAP plus SAP BTP related certification preferred
