Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Configuration Manager & Team Lead to join a large-scale transformation initiative within the banking sector. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capability and is central to ensuring quality, stability, and traceability across a complex hybrid landscape spanning cloud, SaaS, and legacy environments.
Location: Stockholm
Context
The initiative focuses on migrating accounting capabilities from multiple legacy systems to a modern cloud-based platform, while integrating upstream source systems and downstream data consumers. The objective is to enable a scalable, efficient, and future-ready financial architecture.
Key Responsibilities
You will manage configuration, change, and release processes across the initiative while establishing and continuously improving configuration management standards and governance. The role includes leading technical teams and supporting CI/CD pipelines, automation practices, and DevOps ways of working. You will drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code and ensure alignment across stakeholders in both IT and business functions. A key aspect of the role is to strengthen maturity in configuration management practices and contribute to long-term operational stability.
Core Requirements
You bring more than 10 years of experience within Configuration Management, Release Management, or DevOps roles, ideally in large transformation environments. You have strong hands-on experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD, along with expert-level knowledge of Git version control. You are experienced in Bash scripting and have solid knowledge of SQL and database technologies. You are comfortable operating in complex environments and taking ownership of both technical direction and delivery.
Desirable Skills
Experience within the Oracle ecosystem is considered an advantage, as is familiarity with database versioning tools such as Liquibase. Experience working in Agile organizations is important, and prior exposure to the banking domain is beneficial. Experience with tools such as Apptio or similar platforms is also seen as a plus.
