Job Summary
Infra Dev Specialist responsible for designing deploying and optimizing container based platforms using Amazon Kubernetes Services Helm Openshift and Docker Container for hybrid delivery models. Role focuses on resilient infrastructure automation secure configuration continuous improvement and close collaboration with product teams across the enterprise for highly available solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable container platforms on Amazon Kubernetes Services to support resilient and performant application workloads across enterprise environments.
- Configure and optimize Kubernetes clusters to improve reliability resource utilization and cost efficiency while aligning with organizational infrastructure standards.
- Develop and maintain Helm based deployment templates to enable predictable repeatable and auditable releases across multiple environments and application teams.
- Build and manage Openshift based environments to provide a consistent container platform with integrated governance security and operational observability.
- Create and maintain Docker Container images with secure base layers efficient build steps and clear tagging strategies to support continuous delivery practices.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration for Kubernetes and Openshift using infrastructure as code practices to reduce manual effort and configuration drift.
- Implement monitoring logging and alerting for container workloads and platform components to enable proactive incident detection and faster resolution.
- Collaborate with application and DevOps teams to troubleshoot complex issues related to container orchestration networking storage and performance in hybrid work settings.
- Establish and document standard operating procedures for cluster lifecycle management including upgrades capacity planning backup and recovery activities.
- Apply security best practices to clusters and container workloads including access control image scanning and network policies to protect sensitive data and services.
- Coordinate with cloud platform and security stakeholders to ensure that Infra Dev designs align with enterprise compliance requirements and industry good practices.
- Optimize day to day operational tasks through scripting automation and tooling to minimize toil and improve reliability of the container ecosystem.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing by creating technical documentation how to guides and runbooks that help teams adopt and operate container platforms effectively.
Qualifications
- Provide evidence of professional experience between six and eight years in infrastructure or platform engineering with strong exposure to containerized environments.
- Demonstrate hands on expertise in Amazon Kubernetes Services including cluster configuration node management scaling strategies and workload deployment.
- Show practical experience with Helm for packaging versioning and deploying microservices with parameterized and reusable templates.
- Exhibit strong working knowledge of Openshift administration including project management route configuration security contexts and operator usage.
- Display solid skills in designing and building Docker Container images using efficient layering dependency management and configuration of runtime parameters.
- Illustrate understanding of Kubernetes concepts such as namespaces services ingress config maps secrets and stateful workloads as applied in production scenarios.
- Communicate fluently in English at a native level with the ability to document technical designs create clear runbooks and collaborate with distributed teams.
- Indicate familiarity with hybrid work practices including remote coordination secure access to environments and effective use of collaboration tooling.
- Highlight experience working in day shift operations with on call or incident participation as needed for critical workloads without frequent travel.
- Detail experience partnering with cross functional teams to align infrastructure changes with application release cycles and business priorities.
- Explain exposure to monitoring and logging tools relevant to container platforms and the ability to interpret metrics for capacity and performance tuning.
- Describe problem solving abilities in diagnosing complex infrastructure issues by analyzing logs metrics and configuration states in a structured manner.
- Emphasize a continuous learning mindset with readiness to adopt new features in Kubernetes Amazon cloud services and container tooling to benefit the organization and its customers.
Certifications Required
Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer or equivalent cloud native certification related to Amazon container services.
