Responsibilities : -Design comprehensive product architectures that integrate Claude GitHub Copilot IDBS ELN IDBS Biobook Python3 Java and NET 3dot0 to support complex scientific and enterprise workflows -Translate business requirements from research and engineering stakeholders into scalable technical designs that align with ISG product roadmaps and enterprise standards -Create target state and interim architectures that enable incremental delivery of features while maintaining stability security and performance for critical applications -Guide development teams in applying machine learning patterns and reusable components that enhance automation code quality and decision support across the product suite -Define integration patterns and data flows between ELN Biobook and surrounding systems to ensure data integrity traceability and regulatory ready records for scientific operations -Establish coding configuration and deployment standards for Python3 Java and NET based services to improve maintainability observability and long term resilience -Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to design CI CD pipelines that safely incorporate AI assisted code generation tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot within organizational guardrails -Conduct architecture and design reviews to identify risks performance bottlenecks and security gaps while proposing pragmatic remediation strategies and design alternatives -Document solution architectures interface contracts and decision records in clear and accessible formats to support knowledge sharing across distributed hybrid teams -Partner with security and compliance specialists to embed privacy data protection and audit requirements into the architecture for systems handling sensitive scientific and enterprise data -Evaluate emerging technologies frameworks and AI capabilities and recommend adoption strategies that deliver measurable value to ISG products and customer outcomes -Mentor engineers on architectural best practices clean code principles and effective use of AI coding assistants to improve productivity without compromising quality -Coordinate with product management to balance technical debt reduction feature delivery and long term architectural evolution that supports the company purpose of advancing science and society -Qualifications -Possess nine to eleven years of hands on experience in designing and implementing enterprise applications using Python3 Java and NET platforms with a strong focus on modular and service oriented design -Demonstrate practical experience applying machine learning concepts or workflows within product architectures that enhance automation analytics or intelligent decision support for end users -Show proven expertise in configuring and integrating IDBS ELN and IDBS Biobook within complex research or laboratory environments while ensuring reliable data capture and retrieval -Exhibit proficiency with Claude and GitHub Copilot as AI assisted development tools including understanding of safe usage patterns prompt design and governance considerations in enterprise settings -Display strong knowledge of software engineering practices including version control code review automated testing and CI CD with a focus on scalable and secure deployments -Apply excellent problem solving skills and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams in a hybrid work model while supporting day time shift requirements -Value inclusive teamwork continuous learning and ethical use of AI technologies to deliver products that positively impact customers and contribute meaningfully to scientific and societal progress 9.
