Technical Lead (.NET / Angular / Azure)

About the Role
As a Technical Lead (.NET / Angular / Azure), you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable cloud-native applications that support critical business operations. You will be a valued member of our Engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to build secure, high-performing, and innovative solutions that drive real business value.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade cloud-native applications using .NET, Angular, and Microsoft Azure, while driving application modernisation and migration to microservices architectures.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams, setting and upholding best practices, coding standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient Azure-based solutions, leveraging services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure APIM, and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to define technical solutions, estimate effort, and deliver high-quality software on time.
- Champion Agile ways of working, DevOps adoption, CI/CD automation, and continuous improvement across the engineering function.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- Strong hands-on experience in .NET Core / .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET MVC / Web API, and Angular, with a proven ability to deliver enterprise-grade applications.
- Extensive expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures in cloud-native environments.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services including App Services, Azure Functions, Azure APIM, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including database design, optimisation, and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of security best practices, authentication/authorisation mechanisms, and application monitoring.
- A degree or equivalent relevant practical experience.
Additional eligibility requirements:
· Candidates must currently reside in the UK.
- Candidates must be available to start within 4 weeks of receiving an offer.
These Will Help You Stand Out
- Experience with modern software development practices including Agile, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Azure infrastructure management tools.
- Exposure to application performance monitoring tools and observability platforms.

Qualifications
- Exhibit strong proficiency in Net Framework and C sharp with extensive experience building large scale enterprise applications for financial or insurance organizations
- Demonstrate deep expertise in SQL Server including schema design performance tuning indexing and writing complex queries that handle large volumes of transactional data
- Show solid experience with Azure services such as web apps functions storage and monitoring tools to build resilient and observable cloud hosted applications
- Apply practical skills in JavaScript and modern front end approaches to create responsive and accessible user interfaces that streamline insurance operations
- Utilize detailed knowledge of Life and Annuities Insurance products policy lifecycle billing and claims workflows to design solutions that align with industry practices
- Combine analytical thinking and problem solving skills to diagnose issues across application layers and propose clear and sustainable technical resolutions
- Use experience in hybrid work setups and agile methodologies to collaborate effectively with dispersed teams while maintaining strong ownership of deliverables
