Job Summary

Serve as a Technology Architect with a focus on S4 HANA UI5 ABAP OData and S4 HANA Data Modeling designing scalable and secure solutions for enterprise grade systems in a hybrid work model. Apply deep experience to optimize data structures and services that power merchandising processes ensuring resilient performance maintainability and alignment with business goals.


Responsibilities

  • Design and architect end to end solutions on S4 HANA using UI5 ABAP OData and advanced data modeling to meet complex business requirements in a scalable and sustainable manner.
  • Develop and optimize ABAP OData services and UI5 application interfaces to deliver highly responsive and intuitive user experiences tailored to enterprise workflows.
  • Configure model and refine S4 HANA data structures including CDS views associations and annotations to ensure accurate reporting and analytics for critical business operations.
  • Collaborate with functional experts and product teams to translate merchandising and supply chain scenarios into robust technical designs that align with enterprise standards.
  • Review existing custom solutions and core integrations to identify performance bottlenecks and implement tuning strategies that improve throughput and system stability.
  • Coordinate with basis and infrastructure teams to validate technical feasibility performance baselines and capacity planning for new and enhanced S4 HANA components.
  • Implement secure coding and data handling practices within ABAP OData and UI5 developments to protect sensitive information and comply with organizational policies.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications including interface contracts data models and deployment steps that enable consistent implementation by development teams.
  • Perform impact analysis for change requests and upgrades to ensure that S4 HANA customizations and data models remain compatible with evolving system landscapes.
  • Conduct rigorous unit and integration testing of S4 HANA objects and UI5 applications to verify functional correctness and resilience under realistic business loads.
  • Mentor peers in advanced topics such as S4 HANA data modeling ABAP OData optimization and UI5 best practices to uplift overall technical maturity within the team.
  • Engage with stakeholders to demonstrate solutions gather feedback and refine designs so that outcomes deliver measurable value for business operations.
  • Document solution architectures reusable patterns and configuration guidelines so future initiatives can leverage proven practices and reduce delivery risk.


Qualifications

  • Possess extensive hands on experience in S4 HANA with strong expertise in UI5 ABAP OData development and advanced data modeling gained over ten to twelve years in complex environments.
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of S4 HANA data architecture including CDS views data exposure mechanisms and performance optimization techniques for large datasets.
  • Apply practical experience in designing and maintaining enterprise grade integration scenarios connecting S4 HANA with surrounding applications through standardized interfaces.
  • Leverage knowledge of merchandising or retail processes to shape technical solutions that support pricing assortment inventory and promotion driven workflows where applicable.
  • Utilize proven ability to analyze requirements estimate effort and plan solution approaches suitable for a hybrid work model with distributed teams.
  • Exhibit strong communication and collaboration capabilities that support effective interaction with cross functional partners across technology and business domains.
  • Show readiness to stay current with S4 HANA platform innovations UI5 evolution and emerging design patterns so that solutions continue to reflect modern engineering practices.
