Job summary

Serve as a seasoned business analyst with deep expertise in regulatory compliance and risk management partnering with stakeholders across a hybrid work model to modernize mainframe applications using Cobol CICS and DB2 ensuring robust business solutions that improve customer outcomes and strengthen organizational resilience through precise requirements analysis and strategic business insights.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to elicit analyze and document complex business requirements for regulatory compliance initiatives related to mainframe modernization projects
  • Translate regulatory and risk management needs into clear functional specifications that guide Cobol CICS and DB2 design and development activities in a structured manner
  • Analyze existing mainframe processes and data flows to identify modernization opportunities that improve system performance accountability and operational resilience
  • Develop detailed process maps use cases and user stories that capture end to end business scenarios enabling technology teams to implement accurate solutions in a hybrid work environment
  • Coordinate requirement walkthroughs and clarification sessions with product owners architects and developers to ensure shared understanding and reduce rework in day shift operations
  • Perform impact analysis of regulatory changes on current and target state systems assessing data integrity controls and reporting obligations across mainframe components
  • Define and validate business rules for risk assessment reporting and controls ensuring that modernized applications support audit ready and compliant operations
  • Support the design of test strategies by preparing comprehensive test conditions and reviewing test results to confirm that implemented solutions meet business and regulatory expectations
  • Partner with operations and support teams to define transition plans training needs and adoption metrics that facilitate smooth migration from legacy mainframes to modernized platforms
  • Prepare concise yet thorough documentation including requirement specifications traceability matrices and business readiness materials that enhance transparency and knowledge retention
  • Monitor key performance indicators related to compliance system stability and stakeholder satisfaction providing data driven insights for continuous improvement and strategic decision making
  • Engage in regular stakeholder management activities including status updates issue resolution and expectation alignment to maintain trust and shared ownership of project outcomes
  • Contribute domain expertise to risk workshops and governance forums helping the organization strengthen its compliance posture and deliver technology solutions that positively impact society through safer and more reliable financial or operational services


Qualifications

  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in regulatory compliance and risk management frameworks applying this knowledge to complex technology transformation programs
  • Exhibit strong hands on experience with mainframe modernization initiatives involving Cobol CICS and DB2 including requirements definition and validation activities
  • Apply proven stakeholder management capabilities to navigate diverse business and technology perspectives achieving consensus and timely decision making in hybrid work settings
  • Utilize robust analytical and problem solving skills to interpret data trends system behaviors and control gaps enabling the recommendation of practical and sustainable improvements
  • Bring a track record of working in structured day shift environments delivering high quality documentation and collaborating effectively with global or regional teams without travel obligations
  • Possess familiarity with modern requirements management and collaboration tools that support version control workflow tracking and communication across distributed teams
  • Leverage knowledge of financial or operational risk concepts as a nice to have skill to enrich discussions on controls reporting and mitigation strategies in modernization programs
  • Maintain strong communication and presentation abilities that allow complex regulatory and technical topics to be explained in clear business oriented language for varied stakeholder groups
