Job Summary

This hybrid role is for a Technical Lead specializing in SAP ABAP with focus on Workflow ABAP Web Services and Core ABAP requiring five to eight years of hands on experience delivering scalable enterprise solutions. The role supports day shift projects in a global automotive and operations environment with no travel required while driving consistent quality performance and business value.


Responsibilities

  • Design robust SAP ABAP components using Core ABAP to support complex business processes for enterprise clients while ensuring code quality and long term maintainability.
  • Develop and enhance SAP ABAP Workflow solutions that streamline approval cycles and operational processes while reducing manual intervention and processing time.
  • Implement and consume ABAP Web Services to enable secure and efficient integration between SAP and non SAP systems in a hybrid application landscape.
  • Review technical specifications and translate functional requirements into scalable ABAP designs that align with enterprise architecture standards and long term roadmap.
  • Optimize existing ABAP objects by analyzing performance bottlenecks and applying tuning techniques to improve response times and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with functional consultants from operations and production management domains to validate solutions and ensure accurate mapping of business scenarios into technical design.
  • Create unit test scripts and perform thorough testing of ABAP programs Workflows and Web Services to ensure defect free deliveries aligned with project timelines.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members by reviewing code sharing best practices for ABAP development and encouraging adherence to coding standards.
  • Collaborate closely with quality assurance and infrastructure teams to ensure that transports system configuration and deployments are executed smoothly in the hybrid work model.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation for programs Workflows and Web Services to support future maintenance knowledge transfer and regulatory compliance needs.
  • Engage with stakeholders from the automotive industry domain to understand operational constraints and translate them into resilient and reusable technical components.
  • Monitor production incidents during day shift support windows perform structured root cause analysis and implement preventive fixes that improve overall system stability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing automation reusable frameworks and standardized development accelerators that improve delivery efficiency and client satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrate strong hands on expertise in Core SAP ABAP including reports enhancements forms interfaces and object oriented programming tailored for complex enterprise solutions.
  • Possess advanced experience in designing building and troubleshooting SAP ABAP Workflow scenarios used in operations and production management contexts.
  • Show practical proficiency in ABAP Web Services including service creation consumption error handling and security alignment in integrated system landscapes.
  • Bring familiarity with operations and production management processes and automotive industry practices to design solutions that reflect real world shop floor and supply chain needs.
  • Exhibit proven experience of at least five years in SAP projects with responsibility for end to end technical delivery and coordination in a hybrid work environment.
  • Display strong problem solving skills attention to detail and structured communication abilities that support effective collaboration with cross functional global teams.
  • Apply sound understanding of software development lifecycle practices transport management and testing methodologies within large scale SAP implementations.
