Job Summary:
Drive end to end design and implementation of advanced data science solutions that leverage Azure Open AI Service and Python to solve complex business problems and deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency and customer experience across multiple business units
Responsibilities :
- Oversee development of robust machine learning and artificial intelligence models including experimentation, feature engineering, model training, validation, and monitoring to ensure accuracy, stability, and long term business usefulness
- Provide technical direction for integrating Azure Open AI capabilities such as natural language understanding and generative models into existing platforms in a secure and responsible manner that aligns with enterprise architecture standards
- Coordinate cross functional collaborations with product owners data engineers architects and business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives and domain challenges in retail customer services and utilities into clear data science use cases and execution roadmaps
- Mentor and guide data science team members by reviewing solution designs code quality and analytical approaches to ensure consistent use of best practices and scalable patterns across projects
- Drive optimization of Python based pipelines and model deployment workflows by improving code modularity performance and reliability while promoting modern development practices and efficient use of cloud resources
- Analyze large and complex structured and unstructured datasets to uncover actionable insights that inform pricing strategies service optimization personalized experiences and long term planning for enterprise clients
- Champion responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence by defining evaluation criteria for fairness transparency and risk management and by promoting thorough documentation and governance for all models and services
- Collaborate with business leadership to define measurable success metrics for each data science initiative and communicate progress through clear storytelling that connects technical outcomes to financial and societal impact
- Coordinate evaluation of new Azure Open AI capabilities and artificial intelligence frameworks and plan incremental adoption that reduces risk while improving innovation speed and solution quality
- Drive continuous improvement of data science methodologies by analyzing project retrospectives identifying process gaps and implementing enhancements that increase delivery predictability and stakeholder satisfaction
- Support design of hybrid work practices and tooling for the data science team to enable efficient collaboration documentation and knowledge sharing regardless of location while maintaining alignment with organizational policies
- Ensure that all data science solutions comply with regulatory requirements privacy standards and security controls especially for sensitive data in retail customer services and utilities contexts where trust and reliability are critical -

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 90,000 - $ 135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
