About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced IT Delivery Manager to serve as the strategic liaison between client stakeholders and global delivery teams. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing delivery execution, driving customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for account growth. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in IT services, strong business acumen, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a complex, client-facing environment.
In this role, you will:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, building and maintaining trusted, long-term relationships.
· Understand client business objectives and translate business needs into actionable requirements for delivery teams.
· Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with client expectations.
· Monitor project progress, timelines, deliverables, and service commitments to ensure successful outcomes.
· Lead issue resolution and escalation management efforts, partnering with internal teams to address risks and concerns promptly.
· Identify opportunities for account expansion, including new initiatives, project extensions, and additional service offerings.
· Prepare and present status reports, performance metrics, governance updates, and project documentation to clients and leadership teams.
· Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across delivery, support, quality assurance, and project management teams.
· Conduct regular client reviews and feedback sessions to drive continuous improvement and maximize customer satisfaction.
· Support contract renewals and retention efforts through proactive relationship management and delivery excellence.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Dallas,Tx. What you need to have to be considered
· 18+ years of experience in IT services, software delivery, consulting, or related industries.
· At least 5–8 years of experience in client management, account management, onsite coordination, or customer-facing leadership roles.
· Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), IT infrastructure, and technology delivery models.
· Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
· Proven ability to manage executive-level client relationships, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and resolve escalations effectively.
· Experience overseeing project delivery within Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
· Familiarity with project and service management tools such as Jira, MS Project, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
· Strong business acumen with knowledge of contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), commercial models, and delivery governance.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
This will help you stand out
· PMP, ITIL, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Six Sigma, or similar industry-recognized certifications.
· Experience managing large enterprise accounts within the IT services or consulting industry.
· Demonstrated success in driving account growth through cross-selling, upselling, or strategic client engagement initiatives.
· Strong understanding of delivery governance, financial management, and operational excellence.
· Experience working across global delivery teams and multicultural environments.
· Flexibility to travel and work closely with client stakeholders as business needs require.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $113,459 to $195,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
