Senior .NET Azure Developer
About the role
As a Senior .NET Azure Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and supporting scalable cloud-native applications using the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and modern .NET technologies. You will be a valued member of the digital engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing enterprise solutions.

In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
- Build and support secure authentication and authorization solutions using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JWT.
- Develop cloud-native and microservices-based applications leveraging Azure Functions, Durable Functions, and Azure App Services.
- Design and optimize data solutions using Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure Storage services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, test, deploy, and continuously improve applications through CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

What you need to have to be considered
- 6 to 12 years of experience developing enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core Web API.
- Strong experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, and secure API integrations.
- Solid understanding of SOLID principles, object-oriented programming, design patterns, dependency injection, and enterprise application architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Functions, Durable Functions, Azure App Services, Azure Storage (Blob, Queue, and Table), and Azure Service Bus.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs, implementing microservices architectures, and using Entity Framework Core.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit.
- Experience troubleshooting, testing, and documenting APIs using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Scalar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
These will help you stand out
- Experience developing applications using Blazor Web Assembly.
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-native architecture on Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of application monitoring and observability using Azure Application Insights.
- Experience optimizing highly scalable and distributed enterprise applications.
- Exposure to Agile software development methodologies and DevOps culture.

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $ 68,000 to $ 110,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
