We are seeking a Automation Tester with strong expertise in Java programming, test automation framework development, CI/CD, SQL, and API/service-level testing. The ideal candidate should be capable of owning quality end-to-end and working effectively within a cross-functional Agile environment.
Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Java and Playwright.
· Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable automation code following OOP and good engineering practices.
· Develop and execute automated test cases for functional and end-to-end testing.
· Perform API and service-level testing to validate application functionality and integrations.
· Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
· Implement and support continuous testing practices within the development lifecycle.
· Perform SQL-based data validation, test data creation, and data analysis.
· Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot defects and test failures.
· Own quality activities end-to-end, ensuring effective test coverage and quality standards.
· Collaborate with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders in a cross-functional Agile environment.
· Contribute to improving automation coverage, testing processes, and overall engineering practices.
Required Skills
· Strong hands-on experience in Java programming.
· Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and clean, testable code.
· Proven experience in designing and building test automation frameworks.
· Hands-on experience with Playwright.
· Strong understanding of quality control/quality assurance practices and end-to-end quality ownership.
· Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Continuous Testing, particularly GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
· Strong SQL skills, including data validation, test data creation, and analysis.
· Experience in API/service-level testing.
