Chief Functional Architect, SAP CX & Generative AI
About the role
As a Chief Functional Architect, SAP CX & Generative AI, you will lead the design of innovative SAP Customer Experience (CX) solutions that help global organizations transform customer engagement, procurement operations, and business performance. You will partner with business leaders, enterprise architects, and delivery teams to create scalable cloud-based solutions that leverage SAP CX, advanced analytics, and generative AI capabilities to drive meaningful business outcomes.
In this role, you will:
· Lead the design and governance of enterprise SAP CX cloud architectures that integrate generative AI capabilities to enhance customer experiences and business outcomes.
· Translate complex customer experience, procurement, and analytics requirements into scalable SAP CX solution roadmaps and functional designs.
· Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define future-state operating models and transformation strategies across customer engagement and procurement domains.
· Drive the integration of SAP CX solutions with procurement, analytics, and enterprise platforms to enable seamless data flow and process optimization.
· Guide the responsible adoption of generative AI capabilities to improve personalization, forecasting, decision support, and intelligent process automation.
· Mentor cross-functional teams on SAP CX architecture best practices, governance standards, and reusable solution patterns.
· Evaluate and continuously improve solution performance to ensure alignment with evolving business objectives and responsible AI practices.

What you need to have to be considered
· Extensive experience architecting and delivering SAP CX cloud solutions in complex enterprise environments.
· Expertise SAP CX roadmap planning, solution mapping, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
· Strong understanding of customer experience processes across sales, service, marketing, and commerce.
· Proven experience with spend management analytics, procurement process optimization, and eProcurement solutions.
· Experience implementing solutions within life sciences or other highly regulated industries.
· Knowledge of generative AI technologies and responsible AI governance frameworks.
· Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
These will help you stand out
· SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP CX or related SAP certification.
· AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI certification from a major cloud provider.
· Experience integrating SAP CX with ERP, procurement, analytics, and cloud-native platforms.
· Knowledge of enterprise architecture, data strategy, and cloud transformation initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is between $198,000 and $225,000, depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
