Job Summary
This hybrid role for a Product Architect in ISG focuses on designing and evolving scalable payments product solutions for global enterprise clients ensuring reliability regulatory compliance and seamless integration with cards and payments ecosystems while collaborating across functions to deliver secure efficient and customer centric transaction experiences that support the company mission of enabling trusted digital commerce worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Design robust payments product architectures that enable secure and scalable transaction processing while aligning with enterprise standards and regulatory expectations in multiple operating regions.
- Define end to end solution blueprints for payments platforms that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and external partners ensuring high availability performance and resilience.
- Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to translate complex cards and payments requirements into clear technical specifications and architecture components for implementation.
- Guide engineering teams by providing detailed architecture artifacts patterns and reference implementations that support modular development efficient testing and future extensibility.
- Evaluate current payments product capabilities and identify modernization opportunities that improve throughput reduce latency and enhance reliability for day mode hybrid operations.
- Conduct architecture reviews for new payments features to ensure security data privacy and compliance with industry regulations and network mandates while minimizing operational risk.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and cloud teams to optimize capacity planning scalability strategies and cost efficiency for payments workloads under varying transaction volumes.
- Assess integration designs with external cards issuers and payment service providers to ensure interoperability consistent data flows and low failure rates across the full transaction lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain architecture standards guidelines and reusable design assets that promote consistency across payments products and support long term platform evolution.
- Analyze production incidents and performance trends in payments systems to propose architecture improvements that enhance stability and customer experience.
- Partner with quality assurance and operations teams to embed non functional requirements such as resilience observability and recoverability into the architecture for all payments solutions.
- Prepare clear technical documentation and architecture narratives that enable diverse teams to understand solution intent and contribute effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Mentor peers on advanced payments architecture concepts guiding them in applying best practices for secure transaction flows and robust integration patterns.
Qualifications
- Possess extensive experience in payments product architecture with a strong background in designing and implementing large scale transaction processing platforms for enterprise clients.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of cards and payments domain concepts including authorization clearing settlement dispute handling and compliance frameworks in global markets.
- Apply strong proficiency in distributed systems design data models and integration patterns that are tailored for high volume payments environments and digital channels.
- Use practical knowledge of security principles encryption methods and fraud mitigation techniques specifically relevant to online and card based payments products.
- Leverage hands on experience with hybrid work delivery models collaborating effectively across onsite and remote teams in a structured day shift setting.
- Employ solid analytical and problem solving skills to diagnose complex payments issues and recommend architecture solutions that improve customer trust and business outcomes.
- Show familiarity with agile delivery practices and product centric approaches ensuring architecture decisions align with incremental delivery and continuous improvement in payments offerings.
