Job Summary
Serve as a principal architect driving enterprise scale data and analytics solutions using Snowflake Cortex Snowflake SQL and Snowpipe in a hybrid work model. Shape future ready data platforms guide complex design decisions and enable secure governed and high performing data products that create measurable business and societal impact through trusted insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead end to end architecture of large scale cloud data platforms using Snowflake Cortex to enable advanced analytics and generative intelligence solutions for complex business domains.
- Define scalable patterns for Snowflake SQL development that ensure consistent performance maintainable code structures and reliable data transformations across multiple product teams.
- Design robust Snowpipe based ingestion frameworks that automate near real time data onboarding from diverse batch and streaming sources while enforcing quality and lineage.
- Provide architectural guidance on secure data sharing and collaboration patterns in Snowflake to maximize reuse while protecting sensitive information and complying with regulatory expectations.
- Review solution designs and data models from engineering teams to ensure alignment with target architecture performance benchmarks and long term sustainability of the platform.
- Establish standards for query optimization resource management and workload isolation in Snowflake so that critical analytic applications remain stable during peak demand.
- Partner with product analytics and business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable data platform roadmaps that deliver measurable outcomes and societal value.
- Guide the selection and integration of supporting tools for orchestration observability and testing around Snowflake and Snowpipe to ensure resilient and supportable operations.
- Drive modernization of legacy data warehouses into Snowflake by defining migration blueprints phased transition approaches and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to embed data governance controls role based access policies and audit capabilities directly into Snowflake designs.
- Mentor senior engineers and architects by providing practical patterns reusable reference implementations and constructive design feedback that raises overall technical maturity.
- Document architectural decisions data flow diagrams and integration contracts in clear formats that help distributed teams implement solutions consistently in a hybrid work environment.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and cloud operations teams to plan capacity cost optimization and environment strategies that keep Snowflake platforms efficient and predictable.
Qualifications
- Display extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions on Snowflake with deep hands on expertise in Snowflake SQL and complex query optimization.
- Demonstrate strong practical mastery of Snowflake Cortex capabilities for machine learning powered insights automation and intelligent data services at scale.
- Show proven experience building and operating Snowpipe based ingestion pipelines handling high volume structured and semi structured data from multiple source systems.
- Exhibit solid understanding of cloud native data architecture concepts including separation of compute and storage multi cluster strategies and resilient data sharing models.
- Apply advanced data modeling skills spanning dimensional wide table and data vault patterns tailored to analytic and operational consumption needs.
- Bring experience working in hybrid teams across locations with effective communication habits that support collaboration in day oriented schedules without travel.
- Combine technical depth with business acumen to evaluate tradeoffs justify architectural choices and align designs with enterprise strategy and purpose driven outcomes.
Certifications Required
SnowPro Advanced Architect Certification or equivalent advanced Snowflake architect certification preferred.
