About the Role
As a QE Automation Engineer (AI Testing), you will make an impact by designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions that improve software quality, accelerate release cycles, and support AI-driven testing initiatives. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with developers, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality Communications and Media applications.
In this Role, You Will:
• Develop and maintain automated functional and regression test suites using Playwright, Selenium, and Katalon.
• Convert and modernize existing Katalon-based automation assets into Playwright frameworks.
• Execute automated regression testing and analyze test results to identify defects and quality risks.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and large language models to transform user stories into test cases and automation scripts.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster software delivery.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
• 5+ years of hands-on software testing and quality engineering experience supporting Communications and Media applications.
• Strong experience developing test automation solutions using Playwright.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and Katalon test automation frameworks.
• Experience utilizing AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms to improve testing efficiency and automation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
These Will Help You Stand Out
• Experience implementing AI-driven testing strategies and intelligent test automation solutions.
• Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of modern software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
• Experience improving automation coverage, execution efficiency, and quality metrics.
• Exposure to API, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until August 28, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $44 834– $76,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
