Job Summary

This hybrid role as a Programmer Analyst Trainee focuses on testing tools and quality assurance for enterprise applications requiring one to four years of experience in validating software solutions improving reliability and collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver stable high performing systems that support business objectives and enhance customer outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive functional testing of enterprise applications using designated testing tools to ensure that features meet specified business and technical requirements
  • Execute systematic regression testing cycles to detect defects introduced by new changes and safeguard the stability of existing functionality across multiple application modules
  • Design detailed test scenarios and reusable test cases based on user stories and requirement documentation to maximize coverage and minimize defects escaping into production environments
  • Develop and maintain test data sets that accurately reflect real world business workflows to validate complex use cases and edge conditions with a focus on accuracy and reliability
  • Coordinate with developers and business analysts to clarify ambiguous requirements and document clear acceptance criteria that can be validated through structured testing activities
  • Log defects with precise steps to reproduce and impact analysis in the defect management tool and monitor them through closure while collaborating closely with engineering teams
  • Analyze test results and defect trends to identify systemic quality issues and recommend targeted process improvements that reduce defect leakage and rework effort
  • Automate repeatable test cases using compatible testing tools where applicable to increase efficiency reduce manual effort and support continuous integration practices in a day shift hybrid model
  • Create and update test plans test reports and quality metrics dashboards to provide transparent visibility into testing progress and product readiness for key stakeholders
  • Support user acceptance testing by guiding business partners through test execution explaining scenarios and capturing feedback to refine application behavior and usability
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks standards and documentation to enhance consistency and knowledge sharing across the quality assurance community
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in a hybrid environment without frequent travel to ensure smooth handoffs timely issue resolution and shared understanding of quality expectations
  • Align daily testing activities with organizational goals by ensuring that released solutions are stable secure and reliable thereby enabling the company to deliver safe trusted technology that benefits society


Qualifications

  • Possess one to four years of hands on experience working with testing tools and quality assurance processes in enterprise or product based environments with a focus on structured validation
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of software development life cycle and testing life cycle concepts including test planning test design execution defect management and closure activities
  • Apply practical knowledge of manual testing techniques including boundary value analysis equivalence partitioning and exploratory testing to uncover defects efficiently
  • Exhibit familiarity with basic automation concepts and scripting in at least one testing framework or language even at a trainee level to support gradual expansion of automation coverage
  • Show proficiency in analyzing requirement documents user stories and process flows to derive test conditions that fully reflect business needs and operational constraints
  • Communicate clearly in written and spoken form with stakeholders from technical and business backgrounds to document findings negotiate priorities and support collaborative problem solving
  • Maintain a continuous learning mindset by staying informed about new testing tools practices and industry trends and by applying this knowledge to enhance product quality and customer trust


Certifications Required

ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent software testing certification is preferred for this Programmer Analyst Trainee role.
