About the Role
As an AWS Architect, you will make an impact by leading the modernization of critical healthcare billing and revenue cycle management platforms. You will be a valued member of our Consulting team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, business leaders, architects, product teams, and engineering teams to design and deliver scalable cloud-native healthcare solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the architecture and delivery of cloud-native solutions on AWS that improve scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Drive application modernization initiatives, transforming legacy healthcare billing platforms into modern microservices-based architectures.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define solution roadmaps and align technology investments to business outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership across architecture, application development, data platforms, and DevOps automation.
- Champion engineering excellence, application performance, reliability, security, and continuous improvement throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Work Model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office. What You Must Have to Be Considered
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, cloud engineering, or application modernization.
- Strong AWS expertise including EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
- Experience designing and delivering microservices, API-led architectures, and cloud migration programs.
- Hands-on development experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Angular, and TypeScript.
- Strong database expertise across PostgreSQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, and Redis.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and Git.
- Ability to engage with business and technical stakeholders, translating requirements into scalable technology solutions.
These Will Help You Succeed
- Experience within healthcare, hospital billing, revenue cycle management, or payer/provider environments.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience delivering large-scale digital transformation or cloud modernization programs.
- Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to balance strategic architecture leadership with hands-on technical delivery.
