About the role
As a Data Catalog Expert, you will make an impact by designing and implementing large-scale enterprise solutions, defining solution and integration architectures, and aligning technology strategies with business goals. You will be a valued member and will be working closely with product teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver innovative, secure, and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
· We are seeking an experienced Data Catalog and Metadata Specialist to design, implement, and govern our enterprise-wide metadata architecture.
· Lead the integration and optimization of Ab Initio’s Data Catalog and Enterprise Metadata Hub
· Enterprise Metadata Architecture: Design and maintain a comprehensive metadata strategy, utilizing the Ab Initio Metadata Hub
· Design robust end to end data integration architectures using Ab Initio tools and foundational ETL practices to support critical Wealth Manager business processes and analytics needs.
· Develop optimized workflows with Ab Initio GDE and Conduct It to ensure reliable data movement high throughput and predictable performance for day operations.
· Configure and manage Ab Initio Co Operating System environments to maintain stable execution platforms and streamline deployment of complex data applications.
· Technical & Business Lineage: Build and manage automated end-to-end data lineage workflows, customizing Ab Initio Metadata Hub Meta Models, UI extensions, and custom extractors to track data flow across complex systems
· Configure and oversee Ab Initio Data Catalog.
· Develop robust metadata ingestion pipelines, write custom scripts, and implement data quality checks overlaid onto lineage diagrams
Work model
Onsite – This role requires presence at the client or Cognizant office. We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible and support a healthy work-life balance through various wellbeing programs.
What you need to have to be considered
· Demonstrate strong hands on experience in Ab Initio including GDE Conduct It Co Operating System Express It and integration with external schedulers for enterprise data platforms.
· Show deep practical knowledge of ETL design SQL and PL SQL coding data integration techniques and core data warehousing concepts applied to large scale transactional and analytical systems.
· Possess proven capability in using Ab Initio Metadata Hub to maintain comprehensive lineage documentation and governance that supports audit ready Wealth Manager operations.
· Bring solid expertise in Unix shell scripting to automate deployments monitoring and routine maintenance activities within a hybrid work setting.
· Offer substantial Wealth Manager domain experience covering portfolio servicing investment products regulatory reporting and customer centric analytics from six to ten years of overall work.
