Job Summary
This role is for a PE Maps position focused on supporting map related data and customer interactions with a strong emphasis on Mandarin language proficiency. The candidate will work from office in a day shift environment and apply Chinese and English language skills to understand validate and improve mapping content and user experiences while collaborating with global teams.
Responsibilities
- Support daily map data review activities by reading interpreting and validating Chinese and English content to ensure high accuracy and consistency across mapping platforms
- Analyze user submitted issues related to map content and apply clear Mandarin communication to understand and categorize each case for effective resolution
- Perform detailed checks on points of interest routes and location attributes by comparing local Chinese language sources with internal tools to maintain data reliability
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders by sharing concise updates on defects trends and improvements in both Chinese and English to enable informed business decisions
- Handle customer facing queries related to map usage and navigation in Mandarin by providing clear explanations and empathetic responses that enhance user satisfaction
- Document recurring issues and edge cases in simple bilingual language so that process teams can refine guidelines and standard operating procedures for future reference
- Execute test cases on new map features and interfaces while logging observations in structured form to help product teams improve usability for diverse user groups
- Identify regional cultural and linguistic nuances in Chinese map content and propose refinements that make location information more relevant and trustworthy for local users
- Apply basic analytical thinking to group similar problem patterns in map data and communicate findings to process owners to drive focused quality improvement efforts
- Support cross functional discussions by providing local language context for Chinese locations names and usage patterns which helps teams design better geo based solutions
- Maintain strict adherence to data privacy and security practices while handling map records and customer reports to protect sensitive information and company reputation
- Participate in continuous learning sessions on mapping tools workflow changes and quality metrics in order to keep personal skills updated and aligned with project goals
- Contribute to team goals by completing assigned tickets within timelines and by offering constructive feedback on how language workflows can be optimized for better efficiency
Qualifications
- Possess native level Mandarin speaking skills with strong reading and writing ability that enable precise understanding of Chinese geographic and contextual information
- Demonstrate functional English communication skills in reading writing and speaking that support collaboration with global colleagues and documentation of daily work
- Hold basic exposure to customer support or service environments where clear respectful and solution oriented communication was required even if gained through internships or projects
- Show familiarity with digital tools such as office productivity suites web applications and internal ticketing systems that support efficient execution of mapping tasks
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in textual and numeric information which is critical for maintaining high quality map data outputs
- Display willingness to work in a structured work from office day shift model and manage workload responsibly while following guidance from senior team members
- Express openness to learning new mapping tools workflows and quality standards so that skills can mature with project needs and contribute to long term organizational impact
Certifications Required
Any recognized certification in Mandarin language proficiency such as HSK or equivalent would be beneficial for this role
