Job Summary
Serve as a Functional Architect for SAP Integrated Business Planning translating complex planning requirements into scalable solutions across demand supply inventory and Sales and Operations processes while working in a hybrid day shift model. Apply deep expertise in SAP IBP modules and data integration tools to deliver resilient planning capabilities that enhance operational resilience and enable better decisions for customers and communities.
Responsibilities
- Design SAP Integrated Business Planning solutions that align with business planning strategies across demand supply inventory and Sales and Operations processes while ensuring consistent process outcomes across regions and functions.
- Configure SAP Integrated Business Planning Demand and Sales and Operations planning scenarios to support accurate forecasting scenario analysis and executive decision cycles that improve service levels and working capital efficiency.
- Implement SAP Integrated Business Planning Supply and Time Series Optimiser capabilities to balance capacity constraints and cost while enabling resilient supply responses to market and operational disruptions.
- Utilize SAP Integrated Business Planning Inventory capabilities to model safety stock strategies segmentation rules and multi echelon planning that reduce stock outs and excess inventory while supporting sustainable operations.
- Apply SAP Integrated Business Planning Order based Planning to orchestrate planning across orders and materials ensuring alignment between operational plans execution systems and customer commitments.
- Operate SAP Integrated Business Planning Control Tower to design alerts dashboards and exception workflows that provide timely visibility into supply chain risks and enable rapid resolution of planning issues.
- Configure and maintain integration scenarios using SAP IBP SDI and SAP IBP CPI DS so that data models master data and transactional data are accurate timely and aligned with enterprise data standards.
- Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to capture planning requirements translate them into functional designs and validate that solutions meet business expectations in a hybrid work environment without travel requirements.
- Develop functional specifications configuration documents and test cases that describe SAP Integrated Business Planning processes interfaces and controls while ensuring compliance with organizational quality standards.
- Guide planning teams in adopting new planning processes and tools by preparing user procedures conducting knowledge sharing sessions and supporting change initiatives that improve planning maturity.
- Analyze planning performance metrics to identify continuous improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements in configuration algorithms and process design that deliver measurable business value.
- Work with data teams to design robust data models that support complex planning scenarios ensuring that data structures are optimized for performance traceability and analytics across Integrated Business Planning modules.
- Engage with subject matter experts in computational biology or advanced analytics when relevant to specialized planning use cases ensuring that scientific or analytical models are appropriately reflected in planning configurations.
- Ensure that all solutions are designed for stability maintainability and scalability so that the organization can adapt to evolving market demands while minimizing technical debt and operational risk.
Qualifications
- Possess professional experience of six to eight years in planning or supply chain domains with a strong focus on SAP Integrated Business Planning functional design and configuration across multiple modules.
- Demonstrate hands on expertise in SAP IBP SDI and SAP IBP CPI DS including data extraction transformation logic and error handling so that integrated data flows remain reliable and transparent.
- Bring proven experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning Demand Sales and Operations Supply Time Series Optimiser Inventory and Order based Planning with emphasis on end to end process integration.
- Exhibit strong understanding of data models and data governance concepts so that planning solutions are underpinned by consistent master data hierarchies and reference structures that withstand audit scrutiny.
- Show familiarity with computational biology advanced modeling or quantitative analytics domains as an added advantage for projects requiring specialized scientific or algorithmic planning approaches.
- Communicate clearly with business and technology partners documenting complex concepts in accessible language and ensuring that stakeholders fully understand solution design decisions and trade offs.
- Adapt effectively to hybrid work models by collaborating through digital platforms managing time independently and maintaining high levels of accountability without the need for travel.
Certifications Required
SAP Certified Application Professional in SAP Integrated Business Planning or equivalent advanced SAP supply chain planning certification
