We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with strong expertise in.NET, Azure, and SQL Server to lead the design, development, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of L2 Production Support, application troubleshooting, incident management, problem resolution, and end-to-end system ownership. This role requires a blend of technical excellence, leadership capabilities, logical problem-solving skills, and cross-functional collaboration.
In this role, you will:
· Lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using .NET technologies, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
· Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural governance while promoting coding standards and development best practices.
· Design and develop modern applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, Microservices, Entity Framework, and Angular/React technologies.
· Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, leveraging services such as App Services, Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Key Vault, and Azure SQL.
· Lead L2 production support activities by driving incident resolution, root cause analysis, system monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Support DevOps and release management processes, including CI/CD implementation, deployment automation, quality compliance, and application modernization efforts.
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3-4 days a week in a client office in Hartford, CT. What you need to have to be considered
· 10+ years of software development experience and 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Architect role.
· Strong hands-on expertise in .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework, Web Services, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
· Proven experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure, including cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
· Deep knowledge of SQL Server database design, performance tuning, high availability, stored procedures, and data integration solutions.
· Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, IIS administration, and production support operations.
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with experience leading distributed development and support teams in a hybrid environment.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $ 60000 to $ 93500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
