About the role

As a Pega Lead Architect, you will make an impact by designing scalable, enterprise-grade Pega business process management solutions that accelerate new product development, optimize operational efficiency, and support strategic business transformation initiatives. You will be a valued member of the Enterprise Architecture and Digital Transformation team and work collaboratively with product managers, business stakeholders, engineering teams, delivery leads, solution architects, and executive leadership to deliver innovative and sustainable technology solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and govern end-to-end Pega application architectures that align business objectives with enterprise technology standards.

  • Lead solution architecture reviews, technical governance, and design validation activities to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.

  • Partner with business and product teams to transform complex requirements into efficient Pega-driven workflows and digital experiences.

  • Drive adoption of reusable architecture patterns, best practices, and Pega guardrails across multiple programs and product lines.

  • Influence technology strategy by evaluating emerging Pega capabilities and recommending solutions that improve automation, agility, and business outcomes.

Work Model: Hybrid

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Austin, TX. What you need to have to be considered

  • Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Pega Business Process Management solutions with complex process orchestration.

  • Proven experience serving as a Pega Lead Architect with responsibility for architecture governance, design standards, and end-to-end solution delivery.

  • Strong expertise in developing Pega business cases and translating business requirements into scalable technical architectures.

  • Hands-on experience optimizing Pega applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence technical and business decisions.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience supporting new product development, innovation management, or product lifecycle processes using Pega.

  • Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, cloud platforms, and modern application architectures.

  • Experience leading distributed teams in hybrid or global delivery environments.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, quality management, and governance processes within large enterprise organizations.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $129,500 - $152,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to plan terms.
