About the Role
As an IBM BAW Solution Architect, you will make an impact by designing and optimizing enterprise-scale business automation solutions that ensure robust workflow orchestration, seamless integration, and reliable performance in a hybrid work environment. You will be a valued member of the Asset and Wealth Management Technology team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and compliance partners to translate complex operational needs into resilient digital processes that enhance efficiency, compliance, and client value.
In This Role, You Will

• Translate business process requirements into scalable IBM BAW workflows, providing architectural guidance on process applications, integrations, data models, and user interfaces to ensure maintainable, reusable designs.
• Drive standardization of automation patterns and governance for IBM BAW implementations to promote reuse, reduce technical debt, and ensure coherent process behavior across asset and wealth management functions.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, product owners, and subject matter experts to embed regulatory and operational constraints into IBM BAW process designs that support risk control and compliance objectives.
• Analyze existing legacy or semi-automated workflows to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities, and define IBM BAW-based modernization approaches that deliver measurable productivity and quality gains.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
• 10+ years of overall experience in enterprise application or process automation architecture, with demonstrable depth designing large-scale solutions using IBM BAW across multiple projects.
• Strong hands-on expertise in IBM BAW capabilities, including process design, service orchestration, decision flows, integrations, and performance optimization within complex enterprise landscapes.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, integration patterns, data modeling, and application resiliency principles necessary for reliable workflow automation in hybrid environments.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, developers, operations, and compliance partners) to convert requirements into actionable IBM BAW architectural blueprints.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with proficiency in analyzing existing processes, quantifying automation benefits, and presenting solution options with clear tradeoffs and business outcomes.
These Will Help You Stand Out
• IBM Business Automation Workflow certification or an equivalent IBM automation credential.
• Practical exposure to asset and wealth management domains, including familiarity with portfolio operations, investment workflows, client onboarding, and regulatory reporting needs.
• Experience partnering with security and compliance teams to ensure workflows meet enterprise standards for access control, data protection, auditability, and regulatory reporting in financial services.
• Sound troubleshooting and performance tuning skills for IBM BAW solutions, including root cause analysis and design enhancements aimed at improving stability and throughput.
