About the role

As a Frontier Engineer, you will make an impact by piloting and migrating a cloud-native modern payment hub from Azure to AWS and GCP platforms, leveraging GenAI tools to accelerate delivery. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with developers, QA, cloud and DevOps engineers, and clients.

In this role, you will

  • Utilize GenAI tools such as Devin, Claude, Codex, and GitHub Copilot to implement the changes required to migrate API and UI code from Azure to AWS and GCP platforms.

  • Develop and enhance API and UI components using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular across cloud-native environments.

  • Design and build cloud-native solutions on AWS and GCP, including CI/CD DevOps pipelines and database engineering.

  • Apply GenAI tools to accelerate testing and QA activities across the migration effort.

  • Collaborate as a polyglot engineer across development, QA, cloud engineering, and DB engineering workstreams to deliver the pilot.

What you must have to be considered

  • Experience as a Frontier Engineer with expertise using GenAI tools such as Devin, Claude, Codex, and GitHub Copilot.

  • Polyglot development expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

  • Strong API development experience.

  • Hands-on experience building user interfaces with Angular.

  • Cloud development experience on AWS and/or GCP.

These will help you succeed

  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices in cloud-native environments.

  • Database engineering experience.

  • Familiarity with migrating applications between Azure, AWS, and GCP platforms.

  • Experience applying GenAI tools to QA and testing activities.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until October 7th, 2026.

  • The annual salary for this position is between $91,000 - $155,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

  • This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
