Role: MS SQL Database administrator

Location: Remote

Mandatory skills:

Expert: SQL replication and High availability AlwaysON Skills, Troubleshooting Skills, SQL server tuning, performance optimization Skills

Medium: SQL PowerShell and python Skills, SQL Azure Skills

Basic: Postgres SQL Skills

Roles/Responsibilities

· Strong knowledge on SQL server architecture, design and administration activities.

· Expertise in handling SQL database backups, its recovery model, database restore and best practices around it.

· Strong knowledge on Monitoring SQL server health and SQL server tuning, performance optimization and best practices

· Hands on experience on SQL server Replication and SQL AlwaysON

· Hands on experience in Automating DBA related tasks using TSQL or PowerShell.

· Hands on experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) and SQL always on troubleshoot

Compensation: We are offering between $75,000 – $92,000. Applications will be accepted until Oct 16, 2026.Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in US without requiring employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
