About the role
As a Tech Lead (.NET & Google Cloud Platform), you will make an impact by leading the end-to-end technical delivery of a large-scale platform. You will provide hands-on technical leadership across application development, APIs and microservices, cloud, database, integration, DevOps, testing, and quality engineering.

In this role, you will:
Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of the platform, providing technical direction across frontend, backend, database, cloud, integration, DevOps, and testing.
Provide hands-on technical leadership for.NET/C# applications, APIs, and microservices deployed in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.
Partner with business, product, and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions aligned with architecture and engineering best practices.
Lead and mentor distributed development and QA teams, providing technical guidance, resolving delivery challenges, and promoting strong engineering and quality practices.
Drive effective Agile delivery through collaboration across onshore and offshore teams, supporting CI/CD, automated testing, Kubernetes-based deployments, and continuous improvement.

Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Parsippany, New Jersey. What you need to have to be considered
10+ years of Strong hands-on experience with .NET/C# application development, including backend services, REST APIs, and microservices, combined with technical leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience delivering or supporting .NET applications in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.
Experience with modern web application technologies such as Angular or React and TypeScript, along with enterprise database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
Experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, automated testing, integration, and modern DevOps/quality engineering practices.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with experience leading distributed onshore/offshore teams and delivering solutions in an Agile environment.

These will help you stand out
Experience leading the end-to-end technical delivery of complex, enterprise-scale application modernization or redesign initiatives.
Strong understanding of cloud-native application architecture and microservices within GCP.
Experience driving application performance, scalability, database optimization, and engineering quality.
Ability to provide hands-on technical guidance while also coordinating multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
Proven ability to mentor developers and QA engineers and establish engineering best practices across globally distributed teams.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
