Responsibilities

  • Design end to end SAP ABAP Workflow architectures that align with enterprise standards and enable reliable automation of complex business processes across the organization.
  • Develop detailed technical designs and specification documents for SAP ABAP Workflow components that ensure maintainability scalability and consistency with existing application landscapes.
  • Provide hands on guidance to development teams on implementing ABAP Workflow solutions that follow best practices for performance optimization error handling and modular coding.
  • Evaluate business requirements and translate them into workflow models and technical solutions that reduce manual effort and improve process transparency for stakeholders.
  • Optimize existing SAP ABAP Workflow configurations and custom developments by analyzing runtime behavior and recommending targeted enhancements that improve throughput and stability.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business users in a hybrid work environment to validate workflow designs and ensure that solutions integrate smoothly with multi channel processes when applicable.
  • Conduct comprehensive technical reviews and system impact assessments to minimize risk and ensure that new workflow solutions adhere to security compliance and quality guidelines.
  • Coordinate and execute unit testing integration testing and defect resolution for workflow components to deliver reliable releases within planned day shift timelines.
  • Prepare clear technical documentation and solution diagrams that support knowledge sharing simplify future maintenance and aid onboarding of new team members.
  • Advise stakeholders on opportunities to leverage SAP workflow capabilities to streamline operations improve user experience and create measurable value for the company and its customers.
  • Monitor production workflows and analyze incident trends to propose continuous improvement initiatives that enhance system resilience and reduce operational overhead.
  • Engage with cross functional teams to ensure that workflow solutions support multi channel strategies enabling consistent experiences across different user touchpoints where needed.
  • Participate in architectural forums and design discussions to keep solutions aligned with long term technology roadmaps and emerging best practices in SAP development.


Qualifications

  • Possess strong proficiency in SAP ABAP Workflow configuration and custom development with the ability to design complex workflows that meet diverse business needs.
  • Demonstrate solid experience in core ABAP programming techniques including modularization object oriented concepts and performance tuning in enterprise environments.
  • Bring practical exposure to multi channel business processes or customer engagement scenarios and apply this understanding when shaping workflow solutions.
  • Exhibit familiarity with hybrid work practices and collaborative tools that support effective communication during day shifts without travel requirements.
  • Show experience in working within structured delivery frameworks such as agile or iterative models with clear focus on quality and traceability.
  • Display strong problem solving skills and an analytical mindset that supports quick resolution of workflow issues and proactive identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Benefit from knowledge of broader SAP modules and integration concepts to ensure workflows connect reliably with upstream and downstream systems.


Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include SAP Certified Development Specialist for ABAP or equivalent SAP development credential.
